Crist On A Cross

Florida Gov. Charlie "Closet Case" Crist says he will approve a new state license plate with an image of Jesus and a cross, despite complaints from the ACLU that the plate violates the separation of church and state. Crist: "If people don't want one they don't have to buy one. What does it say, in 'God we Trust' on every piece of monetary coins and paper we have? I think it's fine."

Somebody is polishing up their right-wing cred for a coming Senate run. If I were still living in Florida, I'd be demanding my Flying Spaghetti Monster tag.

RELATED: A similar plate was approved last year by South Carolina's legislature only to be shot down by a judge. That case is going to trial.
